Origin of Katakle
Katakle emerged from Indusource, an independent purchasing organisation in the food and FMCG industry. For many years, Indusource has been working with The Hunger Project, an international organisation committed to a world without hunger. This collaboration has shown us how important it is to invest in leadership, resilience and self-reliance.
The Hunger Project supports communities in Africa, South Asia and Latin America with the knowledge and skills to end hunger and poverty themselves. The name Katakle is a name that has been used within the Hunger Project for a long time. It is inspired by an African king’s chair with three legs. This chair symbolizes cooperation, stability and leadership – exactly the basic principles on which we build. Just as the chair supports a king, we help young purchasing talent to stand firmly and independently in their careers.
